Road Music | Grace Potter

I have been listening to Grace Potter for a while now. I was introduced into her talent via Ed Paff Jr. and his Now That's What Ed Calls Music  volume for 2006. If  you don't know about Grace, she is an old soul from Vermont. She plays guitar and the piano and writes her own stuff. Her voice is distinct and the notes she sings have a hint of gravel.

I had been a fan of her studio albums for several years. It was not until our trip to Martha's Vineyard that I was introduced to her live material. I had dowloaded several episodes one of my favorite podcasts, etown.

etown Radio Show 1032 – Grace Potter & The Nocturnals / Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin Moore, Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

This was our first introduction into her live material and personality. Music with interviews and banter gave us a new perspective about Grace.  We got home from the vacation and got her live albums and loaded the ipods.

If you are looking for some high energy rock and bluesy roll with a Hammond b3 organ, lots of guitar, and a sultry voice, check out the links below and be entertained on your next road trip to the river. And download some of Ed's albums too and get introduced into a whole new list of artists.
